Learning and Development Lead

The Learning and Development Lead is responsible for creating and executing learning strategies and initiatives that align with the organization's goals. This role involves assessing the skills and knowledge within the company and designing programs to enhance employee performance and development.


Key Responsibilities:


  1. Needs Analysis:

  • Conduct thorough needs assessments to identify skill gaps and learning needs within the organization.

  • Collaborate with various stakeholders, including department leads and HR, to understand business objectives and align learning initiatives accordingly.


  1. Program Design, Development and Implementation:

  • Design and develop comprehensive training programs, workshops, and materials to address identified learning needs while ensuring cost-effective solutions.

  • Utilize various instructional design methodologies to create engaging and effective learning experiences.

  • Coordinate and execute training programs, ensuring seamless delivery and participant engagement.

  • Collaborate with trainers, subject matter experts, and external resources to facilitate training sessions.



  1. Evaluation and Assessment:

  • Implement evaluation mechanisms to assess the effectiveness of training programs.

  • Analyze feedback and performance data to make continuous improvements to learning initiatives.


  1. Technology Integration:

  • Stay abreast of learning technologies and tools to enhance training delivery and effectiveness.

  • Integrate e-learning platforms, simulations, and other digital tools into the overall learning strategy.


  1. People Management:

  • Lead the Learning and Development team by providing guidance and support.

  • Mentor and coach team members, supporting their professional growth and development.

  • Establish performance metrics and expectations for the learning and development team.



Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Education, Business, or a related field. 

  • Proven experience in instructional design, training delivery, and learning program management.

  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Leadership experience, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.

  • Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) and other e-learning platforms.

  • Analytical skills to assess the impact and effectiveness of learning initiatives.

  • Ability to collaborate with various stakeholders and adapt to changing organizational needs.
