As a Data Engineering Intern, you will have the opportunity to contribute to our data infrastructure and gain valuable experience in the field of data engineering. Working closely with our data engineering team, you will assist in designing, developing, and maintaining data pipelines, data warehouses, and data integration processes. You will also have exposure to industry best practices and work alongside experienced professionals who have a background in companies such as Google, Lyft, First Circle, and Edamama.
- Collaborate with the data engineering team to design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes.
- Assist in optimizing our data warehouses and data models to support data analytics and reporting needs.
- Participate in data integration efforts, ensuring data quality, consistency, and reliability.
- Help in troubleshooting and resolving issues related to data pipelines and data processing.
- Contribute to the documentation of data engineering processes, best practices, and standards.
- Stay updated with emerging trends and technologies in data engineering and propose innovative solutions.
Requirements:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Metabase, Tableau, Power BI)
- Understanding of ETL principles and experience with data integration tools.
- Knowledge of data processing frameworks and technologies
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
- Familiarity with Git version control.
