About the Role
As a Full Stack Software Engineer II at Focus Global Inc., you'll be instrumental in modernizing our technology stack while maintaining our existing systems. In this role, you will make larger, independent technical contributions and manage your priorities with minimal supervision. You'll work on building next-generation e-commerce platforms, internal tools, and infrastructure using cutting-edge technologies, while also supporting our established legacy applications.
You will actively participate in system design, identify technical problems, and contribute to shared team responsibilities. You'll have significant influence over architectural decisions and the chance to drive meaningful impact across our 30-year-old company's digital transformation by consistently applying your skills and generating innovative solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Independent Technical Contributions: Architect and build scalable full-stack applications using React/Next.js, Flask, and AWS, consistently delivering high-quality code.
- Priority Management: Manage personal deliverables and project priorities effectively with minimal supervision.
- Design & Architecture: Actively participate in the engineering design process, technical reviews, and architectural planning.
- Shared Responsibilities: Contribute to shared team processes, including automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and technical training/documentation.
- Innovation & Iteration: Experiment and iterate on features based on metrics and customer feedback, consistently applying skills to generate innovative solutions.
- Specialized Mastery: Demonstrate mastery in at least one technical or operational area outside of core coding (e.g., cloud infrastructure optimization, advanced database management, or CI/CD automation).
Job Qualifications
- Education: B.S. degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Experience: 2+ years of professional experience in full-stack software development with a track record of independent contributions.
- Core Technical Skills: Excellent skills in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, and Next.js.
- Backend & Legacy Systems: Preferably knowledgeable or proficient in C# / .NET to maintain and enhance existing legacy systems.
- Full Stack Expertise: Experience working across the entire web application stack (frontend, server, and database layers).
- Quality & Testing: Familiarity with unit, integration, and end-to-end testing methodologies to ensure high-quality delivery.
- Area Mastery: Demonstrated expertise or deep knowledge in one area outside of core coding.
- Collaboration & Community: Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional roles (designers, product managers, data scientists, marketing, and business development) and contribute to the team community at an individual level.
- Growth Mindset: An interest in mentorship, learning from others, and digging into new technical challenges.
