The primary responsibility of a Supply Chain Sr. Associate is to provide operational support in shipment booking, customs clearance, documentation, compliance checks, and risk assessment. This includes maintaining accurate records, effective communication with service providers, suppliers, and customs officials, and assisting in improving logistics processes.
The goal of this role is to ensure the smooth execution of daily logistics tasks, independently resolve minor issues, and contribute to the accuracy, compliance, and efficiency of logistics operations. It also aims to strengthen the Sr. Associate’s foundational understanding of transport, customs, and forecasting processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Support shipment bookings, handle documentation, enter data, and resolve minor transport issues. Maintain communication with service providers and teams, and enhance freight management knowledge.
Prepare customs clearance documents, ensure data accuracy, and perform compliance checks. Communicate with customs officials and teams, staying updated on clearance procedures.
Organize trade documents, manage shipment data, and perform compliance checks. Communicate with suppliers, customs, and teams while learning about trade regulations.
Collect data on risks in sea and air transport, document risks, and assist with risk assessments. Communicate with teams and external partners, and learn about logistics risk management.
Enter historical data into forecasting tools, assist in report preparation, analyze trends, and communicate findings. Continuously improve forecasting tools and techniques.
