As a Website Development Intern, you will be responsible for working with our software engineering team to develop and maintain e-commerce websites using both WordPress and Typescript/React. You will work on a variety of projects, ranging from simple landing pages to complex e-commerce sites. You will have the opportunity to learn about the entire software development lifecycle and contribute to the success of our digital platforms. You’ll be exposed to industry best practices from our team of engineers who’ve worked at companies such as Google, Lyft, First Circle, and Edamama.
Collaborate with our development team to design, develop, and maintain websites using WordPress and Typescript/React.
Troubleshoot and debug issues that arise on existing websites.
Keep up-to-date with emerging trends in web development and make suggestions for improvements to our processes and workflows.
Participate in team meetings and provide regular status updates on projects.
Complete assigned tasks on time and with a high level of quality.
Pursuing a degree in Computer Science or a related field.
Coding fundamentals - knowledge of basic algorithms and data structures and a strong command of at least one programming language.
Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Attention to detail and ability to troubleshoot and debug issues.
Self-motivated and able to work independently.
Experience with HTML/CSS/Javascript.
Experience with a website builder like Wordpress, Wix or Squarespace.
Experience building web pages or web applications for school or side projects.
Familiarity with Git version control.
This is a paid internship position with a flexible work schedule. The internship is expected to last for 3-6 months, depending on the candidate's availability and performance.
